Lee Walter has a document giving permission for Howard Ernest Roberts to marry Frances Theresa Cargill. It is dated Dec. 28, 1904. It reads as follows:
I hereby give my consent to the marriage of my son Howard Ernest Roberts to Frances Theresa Cargill. (Signed) Mrs O.A. Root Mother Southington, Conn.
Iguess this was a legal requirement as both Howard and Theresa were under age when they married.

Notes for Frances Theresa CARGILL:
Frances is also buried at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington, Connecticut.
Frances' granddaughter, Lee Walter, tells me that there's an old mill still standing at Putnam, Ct., that was bought by an ancestor of Frances. He was Benjamin Cargill who was born in 1737. I think he was her great-great-grandfather. The mill was powered by what is still named Cargill Falls. It's all part of a heritage trail where you can visit other mills, some of which now have antique stores in them.
