Notes for John SODEN:
I have the following information that has been given to me by Mary Prentice, a descendant of the Fortnam family:
John SODEN married Elizabeth FORTNAM on 9 Apr 1817 at Steeple Barton, Oxfordshire. She was the daughter of George FORTNAM and Ann AUSTIN. She was born abt. 1796 in Middle Barton, Oxfordshire and died in Marston Street, Cowley Road (which I think is in Oxford itself.
They had the following children:
Marianne, b. abt 1817
Elizabeth b. abt 1819
Caroline Elizabeth b. abt 1820
John b. abt 1823
Wiliam George b. abt 1824; d. 1824
Eliza b. abt 1825
William George b. abt 1827
Susannah Sarah b. abt 1828
Ann b. abt 1831
Maria b. abt 1831
It seems that they were all born and baptised in Steeple Barton, Oxfordshire.
