Walter can be seen in the 1891 census living at the Royal Standard, Holborn, St George in the East, London, Middlesex:

Henry Knibbs Head 37 Inn House Manager Middlesex
Rosena Knibbs Wife 32 Peckham London
Rose Knibbs Dau 4 London ???
Louisa A Overton Neice 15 London Clerkenwell
Edwin Knibbs Nephew 6 London St Pancras

So presumable, Walter was living with his brother Henry and they were at the Royal Standard which was probably an Ale House. It my have been that Henry was the manager, and Walter was the Bar Keeper?

Walter's wife Lizzie was living at the home of Walter's father, Henry Theodore Knibbs in the Prince of Wales Beerhouse, 9 Little Coram Street, St George, London, Middlesex:
Henry Knibbs Head Widr 63 Beerseller Somersetshire

Lizzie's age has been transcribed incorrectly as she would have been 36 and not 56.

I can't be sure, but there was a Thomas Charles Knibbs, aged 13, living as a boarder at Hillcroft School, Mortimer, Berkshire at the time of the 1911 census, so I wonder if it was Walter's son.
