It is quite possible that John and his wife Susannah had another son named John Edward Knibbs, born at around 1815. There is reference in the 1871 census to a John Edward Knibbs from Deddington. He was married to Ann from Gloucestershire. She was born at around 1823.
In 1871 they were living at Walton, Lancashire, England with two children, Thomas b. Liverpool in 1855 and Emily b. Liverpool in 1859.
Unfortunately, I can see no record of their baptism at Deddington.
