Mary is recorded in the marriage register as Mary Rymell, but I see from the baptism register she was recorded as Mery Rymal.

I'm told by Gordon Sampson that in 1841, she was living at Pilock Street in Clifton, Oxfordshire, with her mother Elizabeth, a widow. Elizabeth's age was given as 60 and Mary's as 30. Elizabeth died in Q1/1857.

Mary's father was Charles Rymell, a labourer. Her mother was Elizabeth Morrell. They married at Deddington on 20 Nov 1794.

They had 6 children:

- Catharine Rymal, bap. 1798 21 Oct
- William Rymal, born abt. 1799/1800
- George Rymal, bap 14 Jun 1807
- Mary Rymal, bap 5 Nov 1811
- Hannah Rymal, bap 21 Feb 1813

All except William were baptised on the above dates at Deddington, Oxfordshire, England. There is no sign of the baptism for William, but I am told he's been seen in 1841, 1851 and 1861 living with the rest of the family.

Mary's mother Elizabeth was buried at Deddington on March 24 1857 aged 87.
