After leaving Carisbrooke Grammar School, Liz took a job working as a Tax Officer for the Inland Revenue at it's offices in Newport, Isle of Wight.

She was Godmother to her niece Claire Louise Knibbs.

After her divorce, Liz moved to live with her grandmother, Lilly Nash, in Basingstoke. Very tragically, she committed suicide at Christmas 1974 after a period of serious depression.

Liz's body was cremated and her ashes were placed in her grandparents' (George and Evelyn Knibbs) grave at Section G No. 626, Worting Cemetery, Basingstoke. Her name was added to the headstone and her mum and dad provided a marble cherub in remembrance.
