	Learned that Edward Charles KNIBBS b.1919 at Brentford, Middlesex, England emigrated to New Zealand in April 1959.
	Amendment made to the two Joseph KNIBBS' born in the late 1870's in Birmingham District, one the son of Mary MALONY and the other the son of Caroline SUMNER. We now believe it was Mary's son Joseph who died in 1878, and Caroline's son who went on to marry Sarah UNDERHILL in 1906.
	Corrections made re William LOWK who married Elizabeth KNIBBS b.1842 at Stratford-Upon-Avon, Staffordshire. I had given details for the wrong William LOWK.
	Have recognised that William James KNIBBS b.1873 and his brother Henry George KNIBBS b.1879 at Windsor, Berkshire, both died during the First World War.

8/4/2008	In memory of Rose Margaret KNIBBS (nee FIANDER) who died peacefully in her sleep, aged 80 years, on 4th November 2007 in London, England Sadly, we also heard belatedly of the death of Edna KNIBBS (nee Beard), died on 24 Dec 2006 in Gloucestershire, England, and Noreen KNIBBS (nee BENNETT) who died in South Africa in May 2006.
8/4/2008	I've managed to identify the family fortune, but sadly, way back in the 1760's and probably all gone now. Sarah KNIBBS b.1743 at Deddington, Oxfordshire was reported by the London Evening Post as "an accomplished young lady with a considerable fortune" when she married the Rev. John HENCHMAN
8/4/2008	If this can be believed, there is an even greater fortune on the opposite side of the Atlantic won by James KNIBBS b.1827 as a result of his claim for patent rights for a fire engine pump he designed. I suspect this report I've found was later reversed on appeal.

8/4/2008	Have added a map of Farmington, Connecticut, USA showing where my grandfather's uncle James KNIBBS b.1828 at Clifton Oxfordshire, England lived in 1869. He emigrated from Clifton to Farmington in 1857. His daughter Ann (also born in Clifton) met and married Isaac ROBERTS who's family is also shown on the map. I've added an obituary for James KNIBBS above from the Hartford Courant newspaper in June 1914. Also, an newspaper report of the accident which caused the death of Elijah ROBERTS, the son-in-law of James KNIBBS above. My thanks to Shirley "Lee" WALTER, a direct descendent of James and Elijah for finding and sharing these three items with us.

8/4/2008	Have managed to update several of the records for children of Henry KNIBBS/Rosannah DIMMICK, born between 1874 and 1885 between Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, England. Many thanks to his great-granddaughter Julie and her friend Joan for sharing this with us. A daughter found for Fanny KNIBBS and her husband John GARNER. Also many dates and locations added for the children of Henry/Rosannah's son James Arthur KNIBBS/Olive STOKES some of which remain Private. Thanks again Julie and Joan. Henry's grandson, James KNIBBS, b.1919 at Aston, Birmingham gave his life in World War II when the merchant ship on which he was sailing was bombed.

8/10/2007	Thanks to some excellent investigative work by Alan Jackson, we've brought much of the family tree of a man named Henry Theodore BURT up to current times. Why? Well, Henry's mother Ann was widowed when he was just an infant. In 1832, when Henry was 4 years old, she married Francis KNIBBS. Henry called himself Henry BURT when he married in 1849, but by 1851 he was using the name Henry Theodore KNIBBS. All of his children were registered as KNIBBS. Henry's great-grandson Raymond Claude KNIBBS emigrated to South Africa in the 1950's.

8/10/2007	Have upgraded the HTML generation software to UncleGED v8.0 so many thanks to Mike DeBacker who wrote the programme. The main improvement is in the way that Notes are generated on the family pages. They now spread across the width of the entire page rather than being confined to just half the width.
