This page lists all that I know so far of the descendants of both Elizbateh Knibbs, b,1834 in Egham, Surrey, England, and her niece, Emily Knibbs b.1863 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England.
Elizabeth was the first of the two to emigrate in about 1871, with her husband Edward Hoare. They settled in Ilinois and for a while lived at Park Ridge, a suburb of Chicago.
In 1880, Elizabeth invited Emily to Chicago to stay with them, but unfortunately, a relationship started between Edward and Emily. He eventually divorced Elizabeth, and started a new life with Emily.
