This family started with James KNIBBS, b.1828 in Clifton, Oxfordshire, England who emigrated with his wife Ellen and settled in Farmington, Hartford County, CT in the mid-1850's. They had eight children and most seemed to have settled in Connecticut. The groups of photographs shown below are divided so that each group represents the descendants of each of the eight children:
