Roy was the son of Phillys Eveline KNIBBS from Basingstoke, Hampshire and her husband Alex STROUD. He was born in Weymouth, Dorset and lived in Poole, Dorset from 1956.

This photo was taken in the 90's of Roy enjoying one of his favourite pastimes, boating in Poole Harbour, Dorset, on one of the many boats that he built for himself.
