Minnie Knibbs was born in New York, USA in 1861. She was the daughter of David Knibbs who emigrated to the USA from Deddington, Oxfordshire, England with his parents in 1830.

The family settled in Niagara, New York and we believe Minnie's father captained one of the ships on the Great Lakes.

Minnie married Wildred Sears from Oneida, New York in 1885, and they had 7 children.

This photo was taken in 1937 when Minnie would have been in her mid-70's.
