John Edward KNIBBS, 1872-1972 John Edward, seated in the picture, was from the first generation of this family to be born in Connecticut, USA. He was the youngest of eight children born to James and Ellen Knibbs who emigrated from Clifton, Oxfordshire, England in about 1857. This photograph spans five generations of the family. At the rear, left hand side is John's son Milton George Knibbs, 1903-1985, and to the right, Milton's son John Milton Knibbs, 1924-2006. The children are two of John Edward Knibbs' great-great-granddaughters , so from the 5th generation of this part of the family. The photograph was taken in 1967 when John Edward would
have been 95 years of age. |
