Harold George KNIBBS  

1913-1998

Harold was born in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England and served in the Royal Armoured Corps (Royal Tank Regiment) as a Driver Mechanic on Churchill and Matilda Tanks during WWII.

This photograph was taken on 19th November 1942 when Harold was a prisoner-of-war at Campo Concentramento PG.59 Comando, at Carpi, near Bologna, Italy. It was one that he sent home to his wife Pearl.
