| Located at Church Square, Basingstoke, Hampshire,
England. Many of my immediate family were married here including my
parents Harold & Pearl Knibbs, Harold's sisters Winifred and
Phillys, my mothers sister Dorothy, and my own sister Janet. It was where my sisters and I were baptised and I believe, where my mother was baptised. My mother was born just around the corner from the Church in Mortimer Lane (now called Church Lane), and my godparents Eddie and Mabel Wells lived in one of the houses in Church Square, showing at the left hand side of this photograph. |
