Ann Knibbs 

1852-1915

Ann was my grandfather's 1st cousin, born in Clifton, Oxfordshire, England in 1852 and emigrated to Connecticut, USA with her parents James and Ellen KNIBBS in the 1850's.  She married Elijah ROBERTS in 1870 and they had six children. Elijah died in a tragic accident in 1893 and some time after his death, Ann remarried to a man named Orville ROOT. 

I would guess that this photograph will have been taken before Elijah died in 1893.
